When the word “street wear” comes to my mind, these kinds of words spontaneously pops up into my head: simple but bad ass. It is my personal interpretation towards this high-end fashion style. Street wear was originated from (usually) teenagers that like to hang out amid busy street in the western countries. Their fashion, along with their hobbies, is how they express their own freedom. Hence, street wear has now becoming trend in fashion industry right now.
One thing I like from having street wear as a casual fashion is that you can just open your wardrobe and easily find the clothes that you can use for this fashion genre (lol). My name is Dewi Pannadhika, and I'm going to show you guys how I mix and match clothes to make street wear outfits.

For the first set of outfit, I think cap (especially baseball cap) is really suitable for street wear. You can tell it from the name: it should be practical. Having a cap as your head wear not only helps you fighting the shining sunlight that attack directly into your eyes, but also it is nicely looking by matching it with this cute cat-eye sweater. I feel like wearing this sweater because it has this authentic feeling where it is all messy black curved line with cat eyes in between them. Then I chose tartan red mini skirt which gives me flexibility and the cute-but-badass look, finally I completed it with chic white sneakers.

Second one, I feel like an edgy teen and went straight into monochromatic look. Thus, I wore long a dark gray semi-dress (or short dress, perhaps) and shorts below it. For more street based look, I chose to wear black beanie that I bought from Stradivarius. I love this beanie that it has this cat ears, complete with the nose and cat mustache. As for the shoes, I decided to wear black boots to reassembles the black-gray edgy look.

Another alternative, I chose to wear gray tank top with black jacket. But instead of wearing it normally, I tried to stylize it a bit so that I have the badass and kind of sensual feeling to it. Then I completed it with black jeans legging from Uniqlo. This pair of legging is literally my favorite because it’s very comfy and makes me look slenderer. To top that off, I wear wedge sneaker with brown color to make contrast into the outfit. Lastly, I put on black choker to make kind of edgy look again (lol).

I hope these street wear ideas can be inspiration for you. It sure is fun to mix and match clothes in your drawers! Experimenting is the best part of it. You can wear your usual tank tops, leggings, sweaters, but with a little more touch, it can look different! There's something different behind the things that might be common for you. I want to thank MyKawaiiStyle on having me to write my very first fashion article here, hahaha... To be honest I really am nervous 😂
Good luck and have fun on mixing and matching your clothes, guys!
