Fall season is getting nearer by the day. Even though we might not be able to experience it in Indonesia, but fall really affects the Indonesian's fashion world. Various brands had released Summer/Fall catalogs to welcome this upcoming season. And of course, we wouldn't want to miss those trendy boots, comfy cardigans and a cute knitted hat which will dominate the entire fashion line soon, right?
Speaking of Fall, I always thought of its color scheme: Red, orange, and brown; sometimes its mustard brown and sometimes its chocolate brown--similar to reddish, burgundy color. And when I think about it, the color scheme is very similar to Batik--one of the most popular Indonesian heritage in the cluster of fashion.
It's very unfortunate---in my opinion---that Batik couldn't really attract the youth's fashion line. Many people view Batik as rigid; it's often solely worn for special occasions, such as work, school, or other formal events. Today I will show you the other side of Batik; how you can wear it on such an informal occasions, which is Street Style.
1. Batik Midi Flare Skirt with Mustard Boots

Batik has various patterns, beautiful and unique of each own. Don't hesitate to show the world these lovable designs by wearing this cute Batik midi flare skirt---and flare it! I can ensure you, this skirt will never go out of style, however and whenever you wear them!

Pro tip for using this Batik midi skirt: keep everything else simple. We want to emphasize the Batik pattern printed on the skirt, so make every other element of your outfit less appealing. For this look, I combined the skirt with a plain white shirt, and top it off with a nude-colored cardigan. To match the color scheme, I wore a pair of mustard boots with a cute white socks. Ta-da! this is how stylish Batik can be.

2. Batik Printed Shirt with Cute Knitted Cat Beret

If you're aiming for more informal and casual street look, this style could be one of your choice. This printed Batik shirt is so comfy and relaxing--yet cute and stylish at the same time. To make the cheerful vibe popped up more, combine it with a cute mini flare skirt with a nude-ish color, and a cute knitted cat beret with the same color scheme. For a Fall-friendly look, you can add your favorite basic black cardigan.

Complete the look with leather slip on shoes and a basic white socks. Now you're ready to hit the road!

3. Your Usual Batik Blouse - But Better!
Got some Batik blouses you usually wear to school or work? You know you do! Mix and match them a little, and they can totally be your new---and very own---fashion style!

I combined my white Batik Blouse with a denim lace skort and a red belt to match my pair of red boots along with black socks. I completed the look with an army green baseball cap and a black cardigan.
The key to mix and match Batik blouse is to wear them along with a bottom which could match almost any top, in this case denim. You can choose whatever denim products to wear, be it denim tight-fitted skirt, denim flare skirt, denim overall, denim skort, and so on. But it's important to notice that the length of your bottom must be above the knee. The reason is because we don't want to reduce the attention for the boots.
Boots are one of the essential elements of Fall fashion look, and we can experiment with them a little bit more from their color, model, length, material this season. Wearing leather boots will give out a "naughty" impression---perfect for street wear. Remember: when you wear a bright and salient-colored boots, match them with the same color of accessories. Because I choose red boots, I combined the look with a red belt and an orange lip tint.

I find a baseball cap---which color is absolutely not in the overall color scheme---to be the most suitable combination for this look. I can't quite explain it myself, but it comes back to the person wearing them, in the end. When you mix and match clothes inside your wardrobe, the feeling which clothes can match which is all up to your imagination and preferences.

So, this is all my ideas for Fall Street Look, as well as my way of expressing my love for Batik by mixing and matching them for the most casual style possible. Batik is wonderful and pretty, right? With a little bit of imagination, it can vary from formal to informal; from traditional to casual.
I hope this post can be an inspiration for you to figure out what to wear for Fall, as well as taking Batik to consideration!
